FLAG

On the front lawn of the Morse Institute Library since 2021, the F.L.A.G. (Free Little Art Gallery) is a creative outlet for local artists and makers, and a source of joy for the Natick community. The Morse Institute Library sees the F.L.A.G. as a vital component of its mission to inspire minds, enrich lives, enable learning, and foster connections throughout our community.

To that end, the Morse Institute Library, with the support of the F.L.A.G.’s founders and caretakers, is excited to take a more active role in managing the F.L.A.G. The gallery experience should be pretty similar, but there will be some important changes:

  1. Start following the Morse Institute Library on Facebook. That’s where all the new F.L.A.G. posts will be shared. Don’t worry, though, the old page will still be there, like a scrapbook of memories.

  2. Drop off gallery submissions at the Main Desk in the library beginning October 1, 2024.

  3. Mail gallery submissions to:
    Morse Institute Library
    ATTN: F.L.A.G.
    14 E Central Street
    Natick, MA 01760

  4. The basic guidelines that have underpinned the FLAG since its inception will remain the same (take art/leave art; approximately 4”x4” in size, and please be respectful). These will be supported by the library’s Exhibit and Display Policy.

  5. Email the F.L.A.G. with questions at natflag@minlib.net.

As the original F.L.A.G. crew passes the torch, the Morse Institute Library is thankful for their vision, creativity, and care. Library Administration, Morse Institute Library staff, and Trustees are honored to continue this legacy.
