Do you find yourself doing the same old thing lately? Need some new ways to stay engaged while staying close to home? Did you know for example that you can attend magic shows, go for virtual tours of museums and cities, do a cook along, learn a new craft, or learn about something completely new? Interested? These resources that will help you find online things to do that are fun, educational, unique, and entertaining. A few of the resources highlighted are EventBrite, AtlasObscura, Brooklyn Brainery, and Helping Scientists from Home. In all cases, programs and events are listed in many locations, often in different times zones. So just be sure to check the timing when you register for the event.

The Morse Institute Library offers all kinds of programs for free. If you are looking for more programs from organizations like libraries, there are more out there! The webpages of many nonprofit organizations offer information on their programs via their "Events," or "Calendar" pages on their website. Once you get to either the list of program or calendar, often you will find ways to filter what is offered by for example format, audience, and subject. Registration and sign-up instructions are usually listed within the program description. Not all programs will be free, online, or open to anyone. Sometimes the only way to check is to click on register and check what information is offered.

There are many types of organizations who offer free or low cost, virtual/online programs and/or events. These include local and national public and special libraries, and museums. Start by checking out some of these:
