Purposeful Play at the Morse Institute Library

Making Connections

Making connections require an understanding that one thing can represent another. It calls on working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. All communication requires making connections. Making unusual connections is the basis of creativity.

Watch These!

We are all continually exploring the relationship between one thing and another. Each of our programs include examples of making connections as well as many of these other executive functions, In this Preschool Play example, we play with words, rhymes, and rhythms. In the Stem Stories video, we make connections to seed structure and seed transportations in your backyard.
